In town you will find Igleside’s municipal swimming pool, which is open during the spring and summer and set in Faith Park along with the Little League fields. Also in town is the Ingleside Skate Park, which is highly rated among skate aficionados and located near N.O. Simmons Park. Farther south moving towards the bay, you will find Live Oak Park which has fishing, basketball, baseball, and disc golf opportunities. Also between Ingleside and Ingleside by the Bay is Cove Park, which has bike trails and fishing piers. Down past that, the Kinney Bayou flows into the bay in an area that has some excellent waterfront properties for sale.
You’ll also want to take note of Whitney Lake, a new recreation and wildlife education area, which is on the Live Oak Peninsula and is part of the area’s protected wetlands. This is a nature lover’s dream and a great place to take a look at some local wetland wildlife including various migratory birds.
Redfish Cove is on the southeast part of this peninsula area. As you head north along that eastern border towards Redfish Bay, you will eventually come to the neighboring area of Aransas Pass, another town with some great deals on real estate.
